The current generation of the Carnival is the fourth generation, launched in Malaysia in 2022 and assembled locally. The 7-seat and 11-seat versions are now joined by an 8-seat version with features that mirror the 7-seater. Like the other 2 versions, the 8-seater also uses a 2.2-litre Smartstream 4-cylinder turbodiesel with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
