Prices of new Proton X50 announced!

PROTON finally announced the prices for the new Proton X50 at the final episode of a lengthy campaign preceding the official launch. The event, held in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, also included a performance by the Malaysian powerhouse girl group De Fam.

One of its bestselling models and a segment leader as well, over 140,000 units have been sold since it was launched in 2020, it has dominated the SUV B-segment for 5 consecutive years in spite of more rivals coming in during that time. The model’s strong appeal continues as PROTON says that over 5,000 orders have been received in past weeks.

The new X50 is now available only in 3 versions, with the Standard version no longer being offered. All versions now have the same 1.5-litre engine which is a brand new unit with 4 cylinders, instead of 3 cylinders.

Prices (excluding insurance, Peninsular Malaysia) are as follow:
X50 Executive – RM89,800
X50 Premium – RM101,800
X50 Flagship – RM113,300

As promised earlier, PROTON also has a special GEMPAK Deal for the first 10,000 people who buy the new SUV. This is a RM4,000 rebate on the prices and will be available up till October 31, 2025. With this rebate, the prices would be:
X50 Executive – RM85,800
X50 Premium – RM97,800
X50 Flagship – RM109,300

As with many of the new models launched by PROTON, the new X50 also comes with additional benefits for buyers. These include an exclusive upgraded 5-year data package with 2GB/month (from 1GB/month previously); exclusive financing options from PROTON’s finance partners; and RM2,000 trade-in support. The Standard Package comes with a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty and six complimentary labour services.

Buyers who choose to insure their new vehicle through the upgraded PROTON Insurance Program will enjoy additional 3 comprehensive suite of benefits – Special Perils coverage, Child seat coverage up to RM500 and Personal Accident coverage for passengers up to RM15,000 per person on top of the existing coverage. Additionally, there’s also up to 10 years of betterment cost waiver, agreed value protection up to 12 years, all-driver coverage, key replacement coverage up to RM1,000, flood relief coverage up to RM1,000, personal accident coverage for policyholder up to RM15,000, and 24/7 roadside assistance with towing services.
